Great Phone

Reviewed on Tuesday September 6, 2016 by , Trail BC
Had this phone for over a month now and it's a great phone for my needs.
Haven't had a single problem yet with the exception of one small thing. I was really looking forward to taking pictures under water and it took me 30 seconds on the internet to learn I can use the volume buttons to snap a shot. Done!
Other people have said this phone wouldn't give notifications, but her problem was she left it in battery save mode all the time. Of course it won't give a notification...

Really happy with my purchase, just wish the S7 Active was available in Canada so I could have gotten that one in stead.
Maybe next year!

Galaxy S7 Review

Reviewed on Thursday April 21, 2016 by , Calgary, Alberta
It has been 2 weeks since I upgraded from the Galaxy S6 to the Galaxy S7. I found that the S7 is faster in processor speed, the battery doesn't drain as fast when being used for long periods of time and the greatest feature of all is the Micro SD card slot where you can use 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM card and 1 Micro SD card. If anyone is planning on upgrading their phone, the Galaxy S7 will be worth purchasing. I found lots of videos on You Tube about hidden features, tips and tricks about the Galaxy S7.

Words of advice - if you are considering changing from IPhone to Samsung, DON'T DO IT! After reading reviews and watching comparison videos, I was kinda sold on giving Samsung a try, however, 1 week after switching I'm really considering changing back (although a huge pain in the arse.)

Basically all the reviews said the new Samsung is superior in every way, well that's a total load of crap. Issues I've had so far:

1.I constantly have to keep connecting to my work wifi (and not just pressing the wifi icon, I actually have to go into settings and keep connecting)
2.Set my email to sync every 15mins - it's 3pm and it hasn't synced since 10.30am
3.Sending and receiving email is way slower than IPhone
4.Takes longer for apps to load than an IPhone
5.I hope you don't want reminder alarms to work
6.Battery life sux! I have to keep it on powersave mode at all times
7.Annoying popups - one of the cool things was supposed to be able to customize the phone more...that's if you can stand all the popups!
8.Trying to backup the phone was a whole other ordeal

What I was most concerned about with the switchover was how long it would take to navigate my way around the different operating system, that actually turned out to be a non-issue, and was very easy to get used to. However, the only positive feedback I have about the Samsung S7 is the screen is pretty awesome and the photos turn out great. But functionality wise IPhone poops all over the Samsung!
