Doesn't live up to the hype

I got this phone like a lot of people did... because it looked cool from the ads. But less than a year of use and it constantly drains of battery when im using it the least...at work. It seems I have to recharge it every 4 hours.

I wont be getting it for my next upgrade. Don't waste your money. Going with the Moto Z next time. I only gave it two stars because it looks cool.

getting a ringtone was more than a pain in the ____!
If you are not a geek forget about it. This phone is so difficult to just add a song. really? you SHOULD be able to go to sounds and select "Other" and it should take you to downloads. WHY, WHY, WHY, is this so complicated? ERGGGFGGHHHHH

Terrible Warranty

I bought two Pixel XL's. One week after having hers, my wife's phone screen cracked. She did not drop it and she had it in a protective case made of rubber. Google refused to fix or replace it. I have had mine for 6 months now and now my display has cracked. To be honest, I did drop mine but only from a height of about one foot and it landed on a carpeted floor! I like the phone but it seems to be super sensitive to breakage.

Disappointment

You can read about all of the good points at the advertiser supported pages.

I have three problems with this phone:

First, the cellular coverage of the companies that are cooperating with project Fi, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular, do not have as extensive network coverage as Verizon and AT&T, at least in my area. I had to switch back to Verizon as a carrier.

Second, the auto answer option on the phone application has disappeared. I liked to use this when I used a Bluetooth earpiece so that the phone would answer without me having to touch anything.

Third, the option to have notification for text messages repeat at a given interval until the text is read is also absent.

Some of the bells and whistles are cute. Some of the graphics, like the tiles of favorites in the phone application and the garish colors used in the messaging application are pretty ugly.

I will keep it till it breaks, but I don't think I'll be sorry to see it go.
