I do not agree with the previous user.
I have an iPad 2 - Battery lasts for way more than 24 hours without recharging. If you read your instructions it is recommended to plug your iPad in whenever you can.

One thing I have noticed about my new iPad is the life of the battery, I have to charge my battery everyday which is not working right for me in Africa. Is therea way Apple Corporation can engineer another tablet with a battery life of 24 hours. I don't believe what Apple said that the battery lasts 0 hours. I started reading my book just an hour ago and 20% has already been used. I'm constrained to charge my iPad everyday and it's taking up my reding time.
